Renewable energy business in Brazil

In spite of all of the current developments, Brazil’s untapped potential to employ renewable energy resources such as biomass, solar (photovoltaic and thermal), small hydro and wind for electricity generation is tremendous. Recent economic analyses indicate that these indigenous energy sources can provide cost-effective and environmentally-sound alternatives to fossil fuel-based generation.
France: maritime developments

The financial crisis left its traces to the French maritime industry in 2009. The total turnover in this sector decreased from 54 billion euro in 2008 to 45 billion euro in 2009, a decline of 17%. Especially the civil maritime industry has been hit hard by the economic slowdown. However, in that same year ship building for defence purposes has been flourishing like never before. Demand for the French submarines of DCNS, built in the shipyards of Saint-Nazaire, rose exponentially.
Brazil: water project in Pernambuco

The State of Pernambuco, located in the northeast of Brazil, received a loan of US$ 190 mln from the World Bank to finance ‘the Pernambuco Sustainable Water Project’, a project that, once finished, will cost about US$ 410 mln.

Transfer Consultancy is lead partner of a consortium that recently got approval by the European Commission for its LIFE + project application "The Green Deserts". Within this ambitious project over 63 hectares in five Spanish provinces will be reforested. It's main aim is to test an innovative technology that makes it possible to plant trees without irrigation.
