Het voordeel van een handelsmissie voor een deelnemend bedrijf zijn de relatief lage onderzoeks- en organisatiekosten en de sterk gefocuste aanpak. Vaak zijn subsidies van instanties van toepassing om het extra aantrekkelijk te maken voor Nederlandse ondernemers om deel te nemen.
