The Biocultura Fair celebrated its thirtieth anniversary and kept up with tradition by holding one of the “Bio movement” fairs in Spain.

Currently, the fair travels through four main Spanish cities per year, hosting around 170.000 visitors and 1.000 stands; and the past Madrid edition was no exception. Pavillion number 9 of the Ifema Convention Center gave space to 700 stands and 300 activities ranging from organic agriculture and nutrition, to rural tourism and bio-construction during the 13- 16 November.

The Transfer LBC team visited the fair and worked on the organization and carrying out of a technical seminar on the development of two European LIFE+ projects that count on them as a participant: “Crops for Better Soils” (LIFE10 ENV/ES/471) and “Operation CO2” (LIFE11 ENV/ES/535). With a full audience, many speakers debated and talked about the importance of promoting sustainable and more intelligent agricultural practices in order to successfully restore ecosystems in Spain and give realistic answers to climate change.

The representatives of Transfer LBC also had the opportunity to visit different stands at the fair, in order to familiarize themselves with new, up-and-coming innovations and tendencies in the rapidly-expanding organic market.
