Latin American Film Festival Utrecht 2012

The 8th edition of the Latin American Film Festival (LAFF) will take place from the 18th until the 27th of April 2012, at the Louis Hartlooper Complex in Utrecht.

The LAFF is the only festival in The Netherlands that exclusively focuses on the Latin American cinema. Around 60 highlights of Latin American cinema will be shown during the festival. For 10 days visitors can enjoy feature films, documentaries and short films, which aren’t often shown in other theatres in The Netherlands.

Besides that, the LAFF also has an education program, free open-air screenings on solar energy in the neighbourhoods of Utrecht, a special focus on Colombia and an in-depth program with lectures, debates and master classes in collaboration with universities and colleges. There will also be given salsa, tango and cocktail workshops and dance performances during the festival. The LAFF will close on the 27th of April with a spectacular closing party in Tivoli de Helling.
